Being a brand new mother is a very wonderful thing. A very scary thing. But wonderful, nonetheless. I walked through the early years of marriage with this lady. Before either of us had children we would photograph weddings together, take trips together, and hangout in between. When I moved for the first time, to Savannah, she reminded me that I was missed. She would sit on the phone with me while I got to know my new area and made new friends and got into the wedding industry in a new state. When she got pregnant with her first-born, I couldn’t be there all the time like I wanted to. But I did get to meet her little girl, Isla, just a few weeks later….

We photographed their anniversary session at Horsetooth Reservoir in Fort Collins, Colorado capturing family pictures with their newest family member – Penny Lane! How sweet is this King Charles Cocker Spaniel?? I could take her picture all day! Oh, and that gorgeous backdrop? I just LOVE finding water in Colorado. That is the one thing I miss about living on the coast my whole life, so anytime I find these fun hidden gems in Colorado I go crazy with pictures!! Enjoy!

This is Brenna, Matt and Jane. They are the sweetest family of three that you’ll ever meet. I went to high school with Brenna a little while ago (I won’t say how many years ago because it makes me feel too old) and shortly after college Brenna and Matt moved to Denver. When I was looking to move here I immediately contacted Brenna to get the scoop on the best locations to live, the best breweries in town and best child-friendly activities.
