Sara and her precious family asked me to photograph them right around the time she found out she had miscarried. She lost interest in the shoot and told me her family didn’t feel complete. I nudged her to do the shoot since she’d said she didn’t have very many pictures just the three of them and she hesitated but eventually agreed. This is Brenna, Matt and Jane. They are the sweetest family of three that you’ll ever meet. I went to high school with Brenna a little while ago (I won’t say how many years ago because it makes me feel too old) and shortly after college Brenna and Matt moved to Denver. When I was looking to move here I immediately contacted Brenna to get the scoop on the best locations to live, the best breweries in town and best child-friendly activities. I’m so in love with floral arrangements these days. I have had the absolute pleasure of working with some of Colorado’s most talented florists recently and am getting ridiculously spoiled with fresh arrangements in my home. In fact, we were delivered a standard “welcome baby” floral arrangement from my husbands work and I texted it to my florist friends bawking at the arrangement and lack of creativity. I’ve turned into a flower snob. Being a part of the Colorado Fine Art Wedding community here has been so fun.
