Rebecca and Greg are a fairytale couple and their Winter Park, Florida backyard wedding was nothing but a joyous occasion. Rebecca’s middle name is Joy and it just oozes out of her. You can see the it on their faces as the day was full of laughter as they focused their minds on their God-centered marriage. She was SO pumped for their first look that they didn’t do your typical walk-up-and-tap-him-on-the-shoulder, they RAN! They bolted as fast as they could into each others arms.
The ceremony and reception took place in her parent’s back yard in Winter Park. They danced the night away by the pool, serving none other than the best barbecue in town – 4 Rivers Catering.
Below you can read Rebecca’s fun version of how they met!
“We should have met through friends (most of my friends were his friends), at work (we worked in the same Amazon building), or simply in passing (we lived across the street). Instead, we met at church, which we think is pretty stinkin’ neat. Rebecca’s community group had volunteered to clean their church one Saturday to spruce it up for an afternoon wedding. Greg walked in around the same time as the wedding party, so Rebecca concluded he was the groom — the best-looking groom she’d ever seen. She tried to avoid him since he was very good-looking and very much getting married, but he picked up Lysol and started dusting with the group. Weird way to get out pre-wedding jitters? Nope. Turned out Greg was very much the volunteer coordinator, very late because his leadership accidentally told him the wrong start time, and very single. Two years later, “Hot Greg” showed up to a wedding — on time and without any Lysol — and was once again the best-looking groom Rebecca had ever seen.”
I love these photos so much!
