Happy Palm Sunday!! Are you celebrating? I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the lenten season that is so important to me! It is a Sunday to celebrate Jesus arrival into Jerusalem as King of Israel, just before His sacrificial death on the cross, to save all who believe in Him. I know this is not my typical type of blog post, but I just wanted to really take a moment to honor God as my entire intention on running my business is intended to do.
If you don’t know much about Palm Sunday I’ve included a few passages below, but would encourage you to check it out for yourself.
Hadley and I took a moment to snag a few palm fronds from our bushes out front, head to the beach and spend the morning basking in the beautiful life we have been blessed with, and giving all glory to the God who has blessed us. (You should hear Hadley pray… ;-) )
On another note, while reflecting on Palm Sunday and the symbol of the palm branch, I thought of our Savannah house. We lived in a neighborhood called Ardsley Park, which is hands down the greatest neighborhood in the world, but each street in the neighborhood was lined with it’s own type of tree planted out front. One street had Magnolia Trees, one had Crepe Myrtles, another had Pine Trees, they all were lined with the old oak trees, but our little street had Palm Trees. To be honest I was a little disappointed we were the Palm Tree street since I grew up with palm trees everywhere. I loved Magnolia Trees, and would pick the blooms and use them as fresh flowers in my house. Now in my new home in Dunedin I have about 6 different types of Palm trees in my front yard alone and I love it!
Whatever you are doing on this Palm Sunday, take a moment to reflect with me before Easter Sunday and prepare your heart for remembering our Savior.

Mark 11:1 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’”
4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go.7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it.8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,
“Hosanna!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
10 “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
In ancient times palm branches were the symbol of importance, often found on coins and temples. 1 Kings 6:29 “On the walls around the temple, in both the inner and outer rooms, he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers. 30 He also covered the floors of both the inner and outer rooms of the temple with gold.”
I hope everyone has a great next week leading into Easter, and take lots of pictures!!!
