It seems odd to say summer is quickly approaching since, like many southern states, it already feels like summer here in St. Petersburg. Our recent move back to Florida was just what I wanted for several reasons. Don’t get me wrong, I miss Savannah dearly. But, come on, the sunshine state is the perfect place to raise my daughter. I may be a bit biased. One thing that was severely lacking in Savannah was pools. I grew up swimming on hot summer days (or hot spring days, or hot winter and fall days too ;) I was a fishy. There is just something indescribable about swimming. I actually was a lifeguard in my teen years and even taught swim lessons to children working at several neighborhood pools for the YMCA.
Since moving back to the Sunshine State we find ourselves swimming, on the lake boating and fishing, sitting outside in parks and in the sand, at baseball games, you name it!! We are outside soaking up the sun. Hadleys little 8 month old skin is not quite ready for all the sun just yet so we give her a good helping of sunscreen frequently. A problem we were finding was that you don’t want sunscreen gooping up her hair, but she doesn’t have enough hair to protect from sunburn on her scalp.
I recently got a hat from Little Sun Hat company and am just in LOVE!! They offer many different styles of hats and they come in some pretty fantastic colors and patterns. They just released their spring collection so I let Brett help pick which one he liked. We chose Strawberry Ice. It seems to go with so many of her spring and summer clothes and bathing suits. The greatest thing is it is reversible so if you want more of a plain vs. pattern just flip it around. We loved the front bill that you can fold backwards if not necessary but when we are out in the water we find ourselves needing it.
I mentioned we are outside A LOT so you can bet our Little Sun Hat is always in my baby bag ready to use.
I am so excited that Little Sun Hat is allowing me to give one away to my followers for your kiddo to use too!! They go from newborn to 4 years old so don’t miss out, be sure to check out their site and pick out your favorite one in case you win!!
