Hadley June (Bug) – Tampa Family Photographer

AEP_5529

Good Afternoon from Tampa, FL. This is my latest and greatest masterpiece — my daughter! This is Hadley June(bug). She is about to be 6 months old and is the light to this photographers life. She has brought so much inspiration to not only my day to day norm, but also into my business. I am happier than every to be a photographer. She is not sure about having a mom who never puts a camera down — but we’re working on that. I photograph her e-v-e-r-y day. And you should photograph yours too. Whether it is with an iPhone, point and shoot or fancy SLR camera don’t miss a single day. I can hardly believe 6 months passed this quick. Here is our photo…

Trawick Family Homecoming – Savannah International Airport | Alison Epps Photography | Tampa Children and Family Photographer

The look on a man’s face when he meets his son for the first time is a truly emotion-packed event. When Brandi contacted me to photograph her husbands homecoming I was delighted. I absolutely LOVE the military homecomings I’ve photographed in the past — quite possibly the most raw and true emotions I’ve ever witnessed, let alone photographed. But when she told me how he had been gone for THIRTEEN MONTHS and had never met their son who was now 9 months, I was honored to document this incredible moment. I always feel a rush of adrenaline and anxiety during these moments, and am worried I’m going to be a basket case crying my eyes out, however the task of photographing and composing each shot keeps…

Lucero Family at Hunter Army Airfield | Alison Epps Photography | Savannah Children and Family Photographer

You might recognize this family as I have been photographing them throughout the last two years I have lived in Savannah. I met Natalia when I moved to Savannah, she was looking for a photographer to capture the grand opening of her Stroller Strides business that she ran here, and introduced me to many families I have had the opportunity to photograph. The numerous shoots I’ve done with the Lucero family include family sessions before Gabriel’s deployment, photographs of little Sofia to send over to Gabe while he was away, his homecoming (a personal favorite type of shoot), Christmas photos and now lastly a bittersweet shoot of some maternity photos for their daughter who is due in July/their final Savannah days at Hunter Army Airfield. They have since…

Sofia | Alison Epps Photography | Tampa Children and Family Photographer

Sofia is one of the sweetest girls I’ve gotten to know since being in Savannah. Very photogenic, don’t you think? I met her mom, Natalia, shortly after moving here almost two years ago and have loved watching Sofia grow. Natalia runs an awesome Stroller Strides group in Savannah I’ve had the pleasure of working with her several times, photographing for her Stroller Strides groups as well as when her husband, Gabe, was deployed for 9 months to send him pictures of his little girl. One of the greatest moments in my photographic career was photographing his homecoming and the return of all the soldiers from their long and hard deployment. Since Gabe has been back, he and Natalia are expecting their 2nd daughter in July…

Reali Family of Five | Savannah Children & Family Photographer Alison Epps

I absolutely adore photographing family sessions. This sweet family was getting ready to welcome their 5th member, Quentin ( the name actually means fifth, how cool! ). They are a special family to me because, Melissa is my sister!! YEP! These are my nephews Ashton and Owen. It was great to get some maternity photographs of Melissa with the rest of the family included, which we had not done with her previous two children. Photographing children is always a little bit of a challenge when they are at a certain age, and for the most part, the best shots are when you just stop posing and let them be themselves!! My nephews are a particular challenge to photograph being that their T.T. (me) is the one…
