Warning: Grab your tissues and enjoy these memories we made of Tank! Sometimes as photographers we often get to document the happiest days of people’s lives. Sometimes we also need to document the harder times too, to preserve memories we don’t want forgotten as changes come. When Tiffanie contacted me for this shoot we knew it was going to be emotional and hard to get through with dry eyes. Tank really is a little warrior and just the best kind of dog there is! Tiffanie was a former bride of mine who’s wedding was up in Savannah. These dogs mean so much to her they were all three in the wedding! :) They also made an appearance in our engagement shoot in St. Petersburg. They…
Amy + Ketan | Bok Tower Wedding – Tampa Wedding Photographer
Amy and Katen were married at Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, Florida. I love so much about this wedding but a few of my favorite highlights are the first look (it is absolutely breathtaking), the Indian food (cause YUM) and some of those fun portraits they were willing to go back out and do! They found me through one of my greatest past couples who just fell in love with my photography, and I am humbled and honored to be referred to all their friends. So many of Ketan’s family came over from India, that with so large of a party you’d think they would love the intimate feel, but they didn’t! I watched in awe as so many of his family who had never met…
Cindy + Ricardo | Alison Epps Photography – St. Pete Beach Wedding Photographer
Cindy and Ricardo were married on August 8th in St. Pete Beach, Florida. They held a Chinese Tea ceremony before the traditional American ceremony. Part of the Chinese tradition is for Cindy’s bridesmaids to give the groom several tasks he has to complete for their approval to see his bride and for the ceremony to start. They insisted he make up a rap song to sing to her, which they deemed not good enough, he had to try again. He then sang a beautiful love song in Spanish, which they approved. :) Love their fun traditions. It was a monsoon of a wedding day and we were fortunate enough to get some outdoor pictures amidst the lightest part of the rain. I had such a…
Colorado Trip | Alison Epps Photography – Destination Photographer
This is going to be a longer, more personal post than I typically tend to do. I need to take a moment sometimes to realize how blessed I am. These days it is so easy to get to feeling down about yourself and compare your life to the good looking lies the internet leads you to believe — that others lives are carefree and struggles are few and far between. Well, with all of the moves I have made in the past few years and the pressure of being the perfect mom, wife, business owner, and more I have recently been feeling a little sad. I have had to pull my self out of that lull and am taking a moment — ok several moments…
Kristine and Jeff | Destination Family Session | St. Petersburg Photographer
This destination family session for Kristine and Jeff was an absolute dream. They contacted me to do a shoot for their first anniversary!! How fun? You don’t need a wedding, baby or special event in life to take fun pictures. I love that they value taking the time to do portraits throughout their life together. :) Baseball was something that meant a lot to them so we went to the stadium for some fun on the field and in the stands. We also walked around the park and downtown for a lot of fun shots there too.
