Ashley + Tommy | The Vinoy, St. Petersburg, Florida Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photographers

Ashley and Tommy had a spectacular New Years Eve wedding at the Vinoy in St. Petersburg, Florida.  I was more than honored to capture this beautiful evening ceremony for many reasons. Shortly into the wedding planning Ashley’s father passed away unexpectedly. They honored him in such a beautiful way — he wanted to do something amazing with fireworks since it was a NYE wedding and he was a huge firework fanatic. Well, after his passing when I came along and they hired me for the wedding, Ashley’s mom had a surprise for them on their wedding day that very few knew about. After the wedding there was a firework show just for them, put on in memory of her father. It was AWESOME! Cue the…

Lindsey + Don | Pensacola Beach Destination Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photographers

Pensacola_Beach_Wedding_Photographer_0208

Lindsey and Don had one of the most stunning beach weddings that I have ever photographed in Pensacola, FL, and trust that I have photographed my share of seaside weddings living on the great big peninsula that is Florida. I got to work with one of the most fantastic coordinators ever, Emily with Sweet Pea Events, who made the most of the day and planned accordingly all the way from Seattle so the timeline was flawless. I got to photograph Lindsey and Don in their hometown of Dallas back in April for their engagement session and we had a blast touring the botanical gardens at the Dallas Arboretum. Be sure to check out all of those lovely photographs here. One of the things that made…

Rebecca + Greg | Winter Park, Florida Backyard Wedding | Destination Fine Art Wedding

Winter_Park_Wedding_Photographer_0173

Rebecca and Greg are a fairytale couple and their Winter Park, Florida backyard wedding was nothing but a joyous occasion. Rebecca’s middle name is Joy and it just oozes out of her. You can see the it on their faces as the day was full of laughter as they focused their minds on their God-centered marriage. She was SO pumped for their first look that they didn’t do your typical walk-up-and-tap-him-on-the-shoulder, they RAN! They bolted as fast as they could into each others arms. The ceremony and reception took place in her parent’s back yard in Winter Park. They danced the night away by the pool, serving none other than the best barbecue in town – 4 Rivers Catering. Below you can read Rebecca’s fun…

Cynthia + Chad | Dunedin, Florida Wedding | St. Andrews Memorial Chapel Dunedin

I have been busy busy busy these past few months in the heat of full on wedding season in Florida. I was thrilled when Cynthia first contacted me about her elopement in May since it was literally walking distance from my house. I have been getting dreadfully used to driving across the state, and all over the southeast to photograph weddings and, don’t get me wrong, I love the variety traveling offers to my portfolio. But sometimes, it is fantastic to be able to capture a wedding in the cute little town we live in. Dunedin has quickly become one of our favorite cities in all of Florida since it is just so dang cute. It is 9 square miles wide. That’s it. We have…

Melissa + Patrick | Sarasota Beach Wedding | Destination Wedding Photographer Alison Epps

I met Melissa and Patrick just before Christmas to chat wedding photography and instantly we really hit it off; since then I have been SO excited for their Sarasota Beach wedding in May. We got together for margaritas a few months before the wedding just to chat, and instantly they have been like family, rather than clients. I have been so blessed to have some of the sweetest, most sincere couples on the planet! Aside from our instant connection, the love you can see shared between one another is the kind a photographer always hopes for in their couples. The softness in their eyes and natural tender touch can’t be forced. They were truly a delight from the start. On Saturday, November 12, 2011, they…
