Ben and Kelly were visiting Savannah all the way from Kentucky when I got an email from Ben asking if I was available to photograph his surprise sunrise proposal to Kelly. I was absolutely honored, I love Tybee Island engagement photographs. He had planned to take her to Tybee Island to watch the sunrise and then pop the question. The morning of, to everyones surprise, there was no sunrise visible. All of Savannah and Tybee were covered in a thick fog and no sunrise could be seen. That didn’t stop his plans :)

Ben got down on one knee, and aside from dropping the ring on accident, everything was perfect!! :) :) Kelly was so thrown off and was in disbelief for a few minutes. I think the fog adds a romantic touch, especially in the pictures where you can dimly see the lighthouse behind them.
