Lindsey + Don | Pensacola Beach Destination Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photographers

Pensacola_Beach_Wedding_Photographer_0208

Lindsey and Don had one of the most stunning beach weddings that I have ever photographed in Pensacola, FL, and trust that I have photographed my share of seaside weddings living on the great big peninsula that is Florida. I got to work with one of the most fantastic coordinators ever, Emily with Sweet Pea Events, who made the most of the day and planned accordingly all the way from Seattle so the timeline was flawless.

I got to photograph Lindsey and Don in their hometown of Dallas back in April for their engagement session and we had a blast touring the botanical gardens at the Dallas Arboretum. Be sure to check out all of those lovely photographs here.

One of the things that made this wedding SO stunning to me was the vibrant pop of color that was everywhere to be found. First off, I had never been to Pensacola and the beaches found there rivaled even the best Caribbean Islands I’ve ever seen. It was SO BLUE! And the water was just clear as could be! Overnight was a spectacular sunset, it reminded me of being in the Florida Keys. To complement the vibrant blues of the water, Lindsey’s bouquet was just as bright and vibrant in gorgeous tropical flowers that were remarkable pinks and oranges put together by Supposey.Co.

Perhaps my FAVORITE detail that made this wedding one for the books was the reception decor. The coral and driftwood centerpieces with accent tropical flowers were lovely with the Key West style building at The Landshark at Margaritaville Beach Hotel as the backdrop.

As the day began it was hot, and humid, and the sand was a bit soft making me worried about heat and bright lighting, but just as the ceremony began this perfect cloud just covered us keeping it cool and breezy and everything a beach ceremony should be! They danced the night away in the open air restaurant and they even were served Cheeseburgers in Paradise as an “after-cake” ritual at Margaritaville.

Thanks to Lindsey and Don for allowing me the privilege to document your day and handcraft some beautiful fine art portraits for you two to cherish over your lifetime together.
